Now that the official theme song for Evangelion 2.0 has been released there seems to be need for further discussion.

This is what I think about it:
I think it’s pretty amazing that there wasn’t any copy available on the internet before the release two days ago. No title officially announced and no information at all. But because of this particular reason people seem to be even more disappointed to get “just” a remix.

I don’t like people to appraise this song as an ordinary single, because it’s a THEME SONG! It’s a remix, it’s for Evangelion and it’s very well done.
Evangelion always had one opening theme in many variations and this fact represents one important topic in the anime series: showing differences (feelings, impressions, …) in human mind and changes as well!

In this case isn’t a remix most suitable? Because a remix isn’t just a warm-up of older stuff, but an (re)inter•pre•tation!
Btw: The Rebuild of Evangelion movies are meant to show a certain climax. Doesn’t this remix contents a different mood than the originl song?

Finally there is nothing more to say as that this mixed theme song is well done and suits good to the second Rebuild of Evangelion movie. Especially because in my opinion a guitar goes with Asuka, who has a main role in this movie. Maybe I got this idea because of ASUKA STRIKES!

Yesterday I went to Düsseldorf to go visit an art shop which had 12th year anniversary, but finally all I got was a 2B pencil >,> I bought it because I left my pencil bag at university and was unable to do homework. But to tell the truth I still don’t feel like drawing lots of hands, but there isn’t much time left. There I try to hide everything that possibly could draw off my attention. That’s pathetic, isn’t it?
I went to a Japanese bookstore afterwards and bought two PetitEva figures. I payed about €7, but I bet in Japan it costs less than one-third of it. I’m not sure if yesterday were some kind of important day, but there were a lot of stupid and bad-dressed cosplayers in Düsseldorf. They really suck, because most of them always buy things just because it’s from Japan even if they don’t like them. They don’t do their cosplay dress themself, but buy it instead. That’s the worst. Woah, it’s pointless to talk about it, because thing will not change this way…

A few days ago I got my really great looking steelbook copy of the first Rebuild of Evangelion movie. I watched it twice and as a long year Evangelion fan I’m able to say that it’s amazing. I can’t understand people who say it’s not, because most of them say it’s not like the original. That’s a very stupid statement, because for sure the Rebuild series is not meant just to be a new and better looking version of the anime series from the 90th. It’s more like a reinterpretation which shows some new perspective. (Otherwise how to give reasons for the new female character?) I think it’s well done and I enjoy the release of the Evangelion 2.0 in summer 2009.

I started to watch SOUL EATER this week and I REALLY enjoy it Soon, I’ll definitly write more about it, but currently I become to much exited when I think about episodes 6 and 14 )))

// There are still problems with the currently theme, but at the moment I don’t have much time to fix them. The page selection still doesn’t work and I have some problems with the tags. There is also a problem with the Permalinks, but I’m maybe able to fix it (hopefully) soon.
I must be a genius, because I solved all problems within one hour whoooaaaa~

It’s been a long time ago since a weekend took such a long time for me. It’s because I’m waiting for two packages.
The first one contents the Japanese version of 宇多田ヒカル’s latest album “Heart Station“. I ordered it last week and hopefully I’ll get it tomorrow.
The second package contents the Neon Genesis Evangelion movie “The End of Evangelion“. Even if I own the NTSC-version I would like to collect the German editions as well. It was hard to find it on the Internet, because time is gone until its release date in Germany, and it was much more expensive than I thought … (´ロ｀)

To kill time I started to watch the Ranma 1/2 Anime series on DVD. I’m a big fan of the Manga by Rumiko Takahashi and watched this first season when it aired in German TV. I could never imagine it would be that great to watch this Anime, because Manga like Ranma use some kind of fun that just works while reading, not watching. But this Anime is obviously an exception and I’m always convulsed with laughter (´ ▽｀)
